PARTS & POWER CELEBRATES 50th ANNIVERSARY WITH OPEN HOUSE AND CEREMONY

On Friday June 26, Parts & Power held an Open House and Ceremony to celebrate their 50^th Anniversary.  The event was sponsored by Perkins, Northern Lights, JCB, Eaton, Kubota and Dometic.  Don Schutte from Northern Lights, Joe Mislan from Eaton and Erick Montero from JCB traveled to the BVI to attend the event and meet with customers to discuss their questions and interest in their products. Manufacturer Displays were set up for Perkins, Kubota and Dometic with products on display and manned by Parts & Power staff.

Northern Lights donated the Grand Prize for the Door Prize Raffle, a 150 quart 7 day ice cooler.  Joe Mislan from Eaton set up a demonstration of how the 3 types of Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) work as well as a demonstration of Surge Protection Equipment and “Smart” Wiring Devices such as light switches and wall outlets.  Erick Montero had 2 JCB Telescoping Forklifts (TLT’s) on display and met with existing and aspiring JCB customers.  Don Schutte had Northern Lights Generators and equipment on display.  He also hosted the Northern Lights Popcorn Friday which has resumed since the passing of Covid restrictions.

Promotional “swag” from all the Manufacturers was given out. An open bar, snacks, popcorn, and a BBQ were supplied to all who showed up throughout the day.

The ceremony was attended by Parts & Power loyal customers, business leaders and Government Officials.  Among the attendees were Dr. the Honourable Orlando Smith, Hounourable Kye Rhymer, Janet Oliver, Executive Director of the BVI Charter Yacht Society and Andrew Ball, Chairperson of the Marine Association of the BVI.  Dr. the Honourable Natalio Whatley, Honourable Ronnie Skelton, Honourable Myron Walwyn and Honourable Mitch Turnbull were also in attendance and addressed the crowd.
